Make this summer mangolicious

The scorching heat may drain out the energy of most people. But summer in India comes with the blessing of a wonder fruit – the mango, whose sight melts the hearts of many, especially Bengalis, and is savoured in the sultry weather. Another food that is not missed by Bengalis during summer, while having lunch, is curd.

Now what if we get the curd and the fruit together? Sounds definitely yummy, and Mother Dairy has done just that - launched Aam Doi, an innovative product that combines the authentic flavour of mishti doi (or sweetened curd, another speciality of Bengal) and the rich taste of luscious mangoes. Aam Doi is available across Kolkata through Mother Dairy’s retail network, priced at Rs 15 for an 85 g pack.

Speaking on the launch, Subhashis Basu, Business Head - Dairy Products, Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd., said: "Mango has been the pride of Indian fruits relished by all age groups and it also goes well with the traditional mishti doi. So we thought there is no better way to enjoy two classic traditional Indian favourites than by combining them together. The challenge for us was to create a product with an authentic taste and consistency and I must say that we have been able to do both with this one-of-its-kind innovation. Aam Doi has been developed keeping in mind the Bengali taste and their love for food. It has been specially launched in Kolkata ahead of any other city. I am sure our new product will be loved and well-received by our consumers.”

Additionally, the company has also launched Sweet Lassi and Masala Lassi in cup packs. The lassis are available in 200 ml cups priced at Rs 12. Mother Dairy sources said it is also giving a special introductory offer of Rs 2 off on each cup.
