The primary objective of Readers' and
Writers' Club is to provide a vibrant platform for the aspiring writer, the
poet, the songwriter, the playwright, the scriptwriter, etc to showcase their
creativity to an energised and engaged audience.
On the other hand, the club will also
provide an energised and interactive forum for book-lovers across the board (21
years of age and above) to discuss top-of-the-line and award-winning authors
along with their favourite writers in literature, fiction, non-fiction, poetry,
drama, etc.
Hence, Readers' and Writers' Club will
be a driving force in Kolkata vis-à-vis building a strong
and creditable literary platform in the city and binding book-lovers from
different walks of life.
The club will, at regular intervals, host
renowned authors, film-makers, poets, dramatists, scriptwriters, from home as well as from
overseas, to address the members. Book launches will be an additional feature of
the club.
