The Green Chariot

February 23, 2015

Always think green in everything you do. If this were to be true, then as we go through our daily lives, plants have to be our constant companion. That means, whether you are on your way to office, school or at your work, you need a small pot. That's when probably everyone will call you mad. But Dhananjay Chakraborty has made this a reality.

Dhananjay is a taxi driver, just like the other thousands. But his extraordinary love for greenery separates him from the others.

Who says that cars are synonymous with pollution?

Step into Dhananjay’s taxi and you will understand that it is a green chariot in this age of pollution. It is a source of fresh air during commute. The taxi is loaded with different plants, and beside every pot, green rhymes are inscribed on pebbles. In front is a tray of green grass, and the back is decorated with pots of cacti and bonsais.

To add to that, the seat has self written anti addiction lines written on them. This is the age of Global Warming and Green Revolution which attracts a lot of seminars, discussions and symposiums throughout the world. Dhananjay doesn't follow all that. He continues to spread the green message around the city which may be small but priceless.

Dhananjay is known to his friends as Bapi-da and his taxi number is WB-04-F-157.
