Kolkata for Nepal

Kolkata for Nepal

May 22, 2015

Today from 4 pm, Nazrul Mancha would host Kolkata for Nepal, a charity concert to help the earthquake-affected people of Nepal, where five prominent rock artistes/groups of Kolkata will belt out chart-toppers. The five are Fossils, Pata ar Mrudyan, Lakkhichhara, Prithibi and Eeshaan. The concert will take place at Nazrul Mancha.

This musical extravaganza is being organised by Bangla Rock Magazine, in association with Kolkata My City and Kolkata Sukriti Foundation.

An interesting concept about the concert is that there are no entry tickets. Instead entry passes will be available against donation of cereal bars/biscuits/dry food items, which can be bought at 36/2 South End Park, Kolkata - 29. For any enquiries regarding this, the number to call is 9830701877. Cereal bars for donation can also be bought online from indianstage.in, after which you will receive the passes through email.

All the items received shall be sent to NGOs working among the earthquake-affected in Nepal through Kolkata Sukriti Foundation. Pictures and videos of the food being distributed to the people would also be posted on Facebook.

This is a very good initiative on the part of the organisers to help people in distress. Everyone make it a success.
